Quick ECU question

Are the fans on the f-bodys grounded through the computer? I know they were on my fox, so im wondering on a couple issues and tracing them back to my ecu... fans like to come on whenever they want and usually dont when the car is hot low- trac light turns on with the car just sitting and i dont have trac control, etc..

my 88' only grounds one fan. I currently use the 89' prom to eliminate the 9th injector, but it also only grounds one fan, the other is grounded by a thermal switch, it's on the starter side of the block between cylinders 4 & 6. The computer compares the coolant temperature sensor (on front of intake manifold underneath the Throttle body) reading with the programmed on/off values to operate the fan.

Hope this helps.

You might want to check the wiring diagrams available on Shoebox's tech pages. All his stuff is for a 1995, but Idoubt there are a lot of differences on the fan controls.
