questions about tunerpro rt v5

i'm messing with tunerpro rt v5, and ive managed to set it up, connected aldl cable and set up the port and actually used it to monitor my car, it works pretty good so far..

i also managed to edit a .adx file and made it a grey dashboard for my auto, and cleaned it up a bit..

next thing i'm wanting to do is acquire my stock .bin file from my pcm.. anyone know how to do this with tunerpro?

is the stock .bin file all i need to look at my stock settings?

last question: whats the difference between .bin and .xdf files what are the 2 different files used for..?

ok i acquired my stock .bin file with tunercats winflash program..

i have also learned .xdf files are known as definition files, you also have to have cetain .xdf (definition)files to view certain .bin files...

.bin files are known as binary files, i should have known this because i have always built my own computers in the past, the flash memory in the bios is updated using a binary file, and you use the motherboard manufacturers program to flash the memory with the updated binary file..

this tells me that the memory used in the bios on motherboards is somewhat the same as the memory used in pcm's ..

things that make you go hmmm.
