Question regarding Injector..

My car is already tuned for my combo. When tuning the car, We only took it up to 5900rpm.. Now I am turning it to 6500rpm..I am maxing out my SVO 30's and am going to purchase some SVO 42's. Do I have to retune the entire car over, or is some simple changes?

Re: Question regarding Injector..

Just need to change the injector constant in your tune for the 42's. I don't know the exact number to change it to, but do a search in this forum. Theres a formula to figure it out and it's real easy. You need to take your fuel pressure into consideration in the formula also. You might even find what number to change it to in your search. Lot of info on here about that.

Re: Question regarding Injector..

Square root of operating pressure(43.5 on LT1) divided by the injector test pressure (accel and SVO is 39 psi...I believe) times the flow rate in lbs/hr

square root of 43.5/39 times 42.

Someone care to double check me on this

Re: Question regarding Injector..

operating pressure (43.5sqrt) devided by svo operating pressure (39sqrt) times the lbh of the injector 42. = 44.35. Should be right not 100%
