question about tunercat

Hello, i have a 95 lt1 396 w/ gm 847 cam and so on, i found an Lt1 edit file on Bfrankers webstie, http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/LT1Edit/LT1files.htm

my question is, it says lt1 edit file, is there any way to use this with tunercat? if so how, or if not how can i get the baseline tune for my 396?

THanks,
Nick

you can open lt1 files with tunercat. in tunercat under the file tab click open and choose the file you want to open. then at the bottom of the of the pop up window change the file type from bin to lt1 and click open.

sounds good, thanks for you help! I'll let ya know how the tune goes, its my first real tune, so im gunna take my time. Hoping to just get a good base tune, then adjust from there. Anything special i need to look for or do.. saftey precautions or anything.

Thanks,
NIck

I'd verify the basic things are correct before running the car--things like injector constant (he may have been running different injectors), etc.
