Problems with new computer

My transmission was acting funny so I took it to a transmission shop and asked them to figure out what was wrong with it. They ended up changing parts on it even though I didnt authorize it.

Ended up changing the computer and that fixed the problem with the transmission.

Bigger problems now. SES light is on and the car runs like absolute crap when first started. When its in low RPM in whatever gear it misses and barely has any power. After a few minutes its okay, but it has alot of hesitation before it finally goes.
Speedometer is now about 10 mph fast.
Guy put in the wrong computer causing the shift points and air fuel mixture to be all messed up?

Sounds like the programming in that new computer is wrong for your car. The speedometer being off is definitely a sign that the programming is for a car that has a different gear ratio then your car.

Is your car stock?

Yeah, my car is stock. How do I get the right programming?

There's a couple different options:

1. Get the old computer from the transmission shop, read the programming out of it, and reprogram your new computer with the programming from your old computer. This assumes your old computer is still available and works well enough to get the programming out of it

2. Take your car to the dealer and ask them to reprogram the computer in your car with the factory programming

3. Find the stock programming on the internet, and find somebody to reprogram your computer with it.

4. Buy a custom program for your car from a mail order programmer (like MADZ28 or PCMFORLESS)

I can help with #3 or #4 if you want. Send me an email at vince@trifectaperformance.com if you want to discuss further.

Call your local dealership and quote a price from them, because more than likely, it will be cheaper to get a mail order tune as stated above, but it may be more conenient for you to just have the dealer do it.

Don't need to do any of that. Take it back to the shop that screwed it up. It's their problem.
