Ported MAF driving me nuts!!

I DIDNT DO IT! My car came with a ported and descreened MAF. I can't for the life of me get the table anywhere near close. The PCM is pulling lots of fuel at idle. Any tips one the Mhz range idle falls in. I can post up my table later today if anyone has ideas. I want to move to a Z06 MAF if I can't figure this one out.

1) Buy and install a stock MAF and stop posting about how to fix a descreaned MAF let alone a ported descreaned MAF (and use stock MAF cal tables)

2) Run SD mode.

Umm.... #1 or #2 are you options if you chose to proceed.

DO NOT perform #1 OR/AND #2 in sequence... or in any other order, or out of order as you may see a trend. In most places... trend discovery is illegal. Though illegal, If you see a trend you must report it.

Ultimately, #2 is preferred over #1 by professionals as it's a cleaner install, and it runs better if VE's are tuned.

If you see erroneous gas from #2 then revert to VEMASTER which will take care of all gaseous expell either negative or positive (lean or rich).

haha. Just trying to throw some fun up in here. All above is really true.

Thanks guys. I know how bad porting the MAF is. I'm really looking for MAF tables from anyone that has overcome this.

Why? You're wasting your time even attempting this. Just get a stock MAF.

Assuming you are talking about someone who ported their MAF and retuned it, any tables he gives you are useless because they are only for his port. Your port will be different (even if its only in ways you cannot see) and will require different tables to work.

Unless you are talking about two MAFs that were both ported on a CNC machine (lol) exactly the same way, the tables needed will be different.

This is why it's a dumb idea to port the MAF.
