Post PCMforless.com

I just sent a file and info to Bryan. Who else has used these services before? Good rep? I'm going on one recommendation from a good friend of mine who's never dealt with them, but who I trust.

I figure for $75 I get a great base tune. Being the novice tuner that I am, this strikes me as a GREAT alternative. I would like to get the car dyno tuned someday, but for now the $500 minimum fee is being put to better use on non car-related expenses.

So with a quick turn-around on that file I hope to have the upgraded LT1 back on the street with at least a week or two left in the heavy car season.

His timing work was way to conservative for my car, I had to throw away the tune and start with something I found on the net, which was instantly much better.

I'm going to roll with his tune and see what comes of it since all I could hope to do is play with a setting, drive the car, play with it again, drive the car.......for weeks, just to get in the viscinity of a close tune. I'm hoping that right off the bat I can take what I get from him and save it as a baseline to work from.

Next summer I intend to swap down to a smaller cam, put a T56 in the car, and potentially be ready to SC it. So dyno tuning twice is not worth it right now.

But I'll also ask this...... anyone know where I could score a file for an engine similar to this..

'95 LT1 355
~9.3:1 cr
GTP Stage 2 heads
GTP6 cam 235/242 .568/.592 114 w/1.6rr
1 3/4" headers
3" exhaust
42lb SVO injectors
Granatelli MAF
Stock 4L60E......... I know, I know.....
Yank TT 2800

Know of any files that would put me in the ballpark?

Brett, grab a cc306 file, that should be a fine baseline. Make sure its for an A4, or just import tables by hand.

Kyle, are you OBD I? I have a heads/cam/headers/CAI and the usual, the file I had still exists, cam similar to 306 so the tune is actually very similar.
