I've had it with this. I'm not one to blow whistles or bash, but man......

Now, before I just get ripped apart because I know that there are quite a few of you guys that really like pcmforless.com and /or bryan herter , let me say that for stock performance programming he is pretty good. I have a couple buddies that have had great luck with his tuning for their stock cars. It's good, there's better, but I've got no complaints.

However, there is no excuse for what they/he is doing with the modified LS1 and LT1 stuff. I really do not want to get into major details simply because I do not want to just "bash" but I can't just sit here and let somebody take advantage of people like I've seen.

Please, PLEASE understand that before you rip me apart, I am not just posting here to bash, I just know that when I was building my LT1, I would have loved to have known who knew what they were doing and who did not before I started. From what I can figure, I ended up spending about $4000.00 doing things twice that, if I would have asked the right people, would have been right the first time. This includes buying the wrong height tire, wrong cam, wrong fuel pump and so on...all on the advice of the wrong people. I know that we are all learning all the time, but if you don't know, just say "I don't know".

Which brings me to my point. I have no doubt that Bryan is an intelligent individual and that for what he has had ample time tuning (like near stock LT1's.......or in this case near stock LS1's) that his tuning is hard to beat (although there are better). I just want people to know that from what I and my friends have seen, pcmforless.com can tune PCM's, but they cannot tune slightly modified cars or above to the degree they need to be tuned. All it would have taken for us (me and THREE out of three friends) to be happy was for them to say "I'm not sure", "I don't know", etc...

Just don't take our money if you're not 110% sure that you can get our cars to run right.

Car PCM's are not like a PC's microchip...there are many, MANY other factors that play into the tuning of a vehicle. You have to know about cars first and computers second, in my opinion.

Again, please don't just bash me and/or tell me about how happy you are with your tune from pcmforless.com, that's not why I'm posting this. If there was even a slight hint that they were capable of what they promise, I would stay silent. It's just not my thing to bash peopl, but if somebody would have steered me in the right direction from the go, I would probably still own my LT1.

So, what did Bryan do? What issues are you having with your bad tune?

Bottom line is if your worried about getting a perfect tune you have to have someone dyno tune your car, with a full edit. If your gonna go crazy mods more then likely you will need a fast or another engine management system. if your gonna spend all that money on mods and have someone tune your car from 800 miles away you deserve what you get.
