PCM wont communicate with laptop

I just installed heads and cam on mt 95 trans am and we have been trying to tune the car and we cannot get the PCM to comunicate with laptop. We have used 2 different laptops, 1 with LT1 edit and the other with tuner cat and neather will link with my PCM. I have checked all fuses and the ALDL port for bad wires. I programed the car last year and it worked fine. Do I need a new PCM? I am out of ideas so any sugestions would be greatly apreciated.

check any wiring you may have done since you programed it last. it doesnt take much to cause interfereance with the serial port connection. scanmaster was causing mine not to connect.

One other thing, I hooked up the Snap-On Solus to the port and it read all codes and sensors fine. I am not sure if that matters but the ALDL communicates with it? I have not installed anything new except the new motor with heads and cam.

Thanks for the help guys.
