swappd from obd1 to obd2 in a 94...with the obd1 connector???
i have a madz28 obd2 computer..
i have a obd2 knock sensor...installed it...(swapped wire #20 to spot # 7 in the blue connector (tried it both ways) put the computer in and have a check engine light(runs like crap converter wont lock barely idles) ...problem is i want to be able to scan it, ive connected
9 to m
5 to a
2 to b
8 to g
16 to power
plug in a scanner and it says that it has no link or something, i cannot even get a basic reading, although i know it has power and ground bc the scanner powers up, so is there a way to bypass the underdash port to get a quick reading such as power ground and signal (2 or b)

Why would you convert to OBDII? If there is some reason i would like to know what it is. I have never heard of anyone doing it, it is always the other way around.

 

no its not..this is for a high stall problem...in obd1 cars

 

can anyone help me on voltage rading on the differant wires? i really need to fix it this weekend!
