PCM fried??
The car was running fine. I removed my coil bracket to put fresh white silicon paste on the back of the ignition module where it mounts to the bracked. pretty easy to do on a '97. when i bolted everything up, i got no spark from the coil. i did and now the dealership has done electrical tests and we both came up with "replace the PCM." I got a new, reprogrammed for the 396, PCM and still no spark and a "replace PCM." anyone else have this experience? we have power going to the PCM but no signal from the PCM's to the ignition module. Opti and crankshaft sensor are fine. No codes. thanks!!

FIXED... after 3 weeks of me playing with this thing and 6 hours of my mechanics time...or $380 , it was a $.35 electrical connector cap that my Translator Plus would plug into to adjust the timing. I don't run the Translator but, use it to adjust fuel trims and timing, to see how the engine reacts via the Auto tap scanner...haven't touched that connect since June. Never touched it when I did my "white paste" application.
