Open Loop AFR vs Coolant Temp vs MAP

the values i have in my table are mostly 1.5 above stock (1 above stock in the rest of the areas). One person told me that the stock values are pretty good and i may want to put this table back to stock. This one webpage "tuning the LT1" which im pretty sure a few of you have read, says to increase the values in this table by 3 or 4 across the board to make the car run leaner before going into open loop, increasing gas milage. my first question is which one should i do. my second question is: is that a typo where it says before going into OPEN loop? is it supposed to say before it goes into closed loop?

btw, the problem i'm trying to diagnose is when i start the car while in open loop, the car hesitates/studders when you hit the gas.

thanx

If I understand correctly, you are saying that you are running a very lean when in open loop. Why? A ratio of 1.5 above say 14.0 AFR is 21 AFR. This is damn lean. Doing what you indicate by "tuning the LT1" would put that same AFR at 42. HFS!

Please clarify.

i was assuming that this table was displaying the actual AFR values the computer is trying to reach so instead of a 14.0 for instance, adding 1.5 would be 15.5 (and obvously adding 3-4 would be 17-18). are you talking about a percentage like 1.5% or 3-4% higher? i didnt think it meant adding 3-4%. i'm not sure that its running really lean in open loop either
