No PCM Detected?

in Datamaster when I click on test connection it says the ALDA is working properly but no pcm was detected. I checked and the cig lighter fuse was blow. So i replaced and. and I still get the same msg.

everything worked fine, then I flashed it. the flash said successful but then the car would not start. I could still scan with the car not running and TPS and stuff worked with datamaster. So i replaced the pcm. So the car starts, but I can not scan or flash. ?..

All the connectors on the PCM are tight. I double checked. and I have power and ground at the data port. No bent pins.. what else can I check?

Thanks

I tried some more stuff. here is more info.

The fans do not turn on with either pcm when I try to establish communication.

My car is a 95 M6
The new pcm is from a 94 A4

With the new pcm in the car starts (didn't let it run long, pushing WAY to much fuel in)
With old pcm the car cranks but wont start.

with the old pcm I can get TPS data and other info from Datamaster
But with the new PCM It wont connect and get any data (even tho the car will start)

I tried swaping the thing under the plate on the pcm, with the connector made no difference.

when I try to read pcm in tunercats the old pcm gets halfway threw trying to comunitcate the says "no response from pcm"
with new pcm, it does not move at all, then says "no response from pcm"

and advise would be appreciated. Thanks
