Newbie to tuning:What software do I need for my 93 ta
Hi guys, I'm pretty much new to the computer tuning thing. But I've been looking into software for my 93 to monitor and tune it. I know tunercat makes the software but I don't understand what I need from them? I want to be able to completely monitor my car, and to tune it(I know I need a chip burner). So what software of theres do I need, also where to I get the cable that goes from the aldl to my laptop?
Thanks Brad
Thanks Brad
You need the TunerCat software itself ($69.95) and the DA3 definition file for the 93 LT1 ($19.95).
Then you need to contact Andrew at akmcables for the cable that goes from the ALDL to your laptop.
I would also suggest XTronics Pocket Programmer and 29C256 flashable chips. I've been doing them for a buddies car for the last 6 months....so if you need some help let me know.

NOPE!!! Tunercat is only the editing program. You will need to purchase another program to read/log the data. The only one that works well with our 93's is TTS Datamaster software.

It's just like Wilson said....Tunercat is the editing software and then use datamaster for your datalogging.
Again...sorry.
