Newbie to tuning:What software do I need for my 93 ta

Hi guys, I'm pretty much new to the computer tuning thing. But I've been looking into software for my 93 to monitor and tune it. I know tunercat makes the software but I don't understand what I need from them? I want to be able to completely monitor my car, and to tune it(I know I need a chip burner). So what software of theres do I need, also where to I get the cable that goes from the aldl to my laptop?
Thanks Brad

You need the TunerCat software itself ($69.95) and the DA3 definition file for the 93 LT1 ($19.95).
Then you need to contact Andrew at akmcables for the cable that goes from the ALDL to your laptop.
I would also suggest XTronics Pocket Programmer and 29C256 flashable chips. I've been doing them for a buddies car for the last 6 months....so if you need some help let me know.

NOPE!!! Tunercat is only the editing program. You will need to purchase another program to read/log the data. The only one that works well with our 93's is TTS Datamaster software. It's about $80 bucks and is well worth is price.

OMG!!! I'm sorry!!! I was reading too fast and wasn't thinking.
It's just like Wilson said....Tunercat is the editing software and then use datamaster for your datalogging.
Again...sorry.
