Is my PCM fried?

Hey guys 97 Z28. Pulled over while tuning for fuel to load a new tune in my car. Something got messed up half way through and it wouldnt finish. Car wouldnt start, nor load a new tune. My scanner wouldnt recognize it either. Is this able to be repaired, or am I looking at another PCM? My car is a 97 Z28 M6. So I took my buddies PCM from his 97 Firebird LT1 auto and threw it in. Went to the track had a cpl good runs then last run car died. no spark to the plugs. These are my questions:
-Can my PCM be repaired?
-Im thinking the Opti died at the track, but is it possible the PCM from the Firebird which was working fine just wont run anymore with my car?

Thanks,
Danny

Re: Is my PCM fried?

You could get the PCM scanned to see whats causing no spark, I'm thinking maybe a Crank Position Sensor DTC caused by the learning difference between the cars could be the cause, but that's guessing. Here's an example of PCM repair for your PCM looks like $40.00 http://www.madtuner.com/index.php?pa...mart&Itemid=26

I would certainly contact the PCM experts like the one listed above and go from there. In the worst case event, you would need to get a new PCM. I have one for sale from my 97 TA M6 which has a tune for a nearly identical setup but with a CC306 cam. The tune won't be perfect since every car is different including some of the mods but just throwing that out there.
