MAF Sensor and VE Tables Question

Hey guys,

Just got tunercats going and starting to learn it.

In Solomon's help files he makes a distinction between the MAP tables and VE tables and talks about tuning them seperately.

He says to tune the VE tables in speed density mode, and then tune the MAF tables.

Problem is, where ARE the "maf tables" and "ve tables" in Tuner cats?

I only have the two "Volumetric Efficiency vs RPM vs MAP" tables.

is there something I'm missing here???

Thanks,

Greg

The ve vs map vs rpm tables are your ve tables; the first one is low rpm and the extended is high rpm. These will be located in the first column near the top. There will be four maf tables, they will be located in the last column of the tables menu at the bottom/right corner. The tables will be called something like mass airflow vs frequency.

In doing this, you need to be able to data log. Does your version of TunerCat allow you to datalog as you drive, or do you have a separate data logger?

Along these same lines I have been trying like crazy to identify these same tables but in the JET dst interface. I have read everything I can find but it seems the JET set up is slightly different than the TC. Does anyone know what the 4 MAF tables are in the JET tuning program?

I put together a spreadsheet of a VE table and how the Fuel Trim Cells (FTCs) overlay on the VE table. How would I attach this to this post?
