LT1 Edit???

I have a '93 LT1 and from what i understand the 94 and 95 use a flash prom. You can't get the lt1 edit for 92-93 LT1 but you can for a 94-95 LT1. So here is my question. Can i put a 94 computer on mine and the delete the MAF and 4L60E(since 93 doesn't have an electronic tranny or MAF). Also would it plug right up to my harness? I want to be able to tune my own car when i want. And not have to pay $500 every time i need a tune. Or is there any program i can get for mine.

The major mismatch between the 93 ECM and 94 PCM would be the injectors. Your 93 is batch fire, with 1 wire to each bank of injectors, the 94 is sequential fire with 1 wire to each injector. You'd have to change the harness. Then you'd have to address the O2 sensors.... 1-wire vs 4-wire. Probably a few other things.

Re: LT1 Edit???

So i did some searching on here about this. I read that the Ostrich is the way to go. It says you can upload new binary. Does this mean "binary code" 1's and 0's? I need a program that I can use. And how exactly does this system work. It doesn't realy go indepth about it. Does it replace the chip totaly? Is the "box" the new chip?

Tunercat makes a good def file for 93's and I believe you can tune on the fly with ostrich & Tunercat RT. When you get a final tune, you'll still have to burn a chip on the Memcal however.
