knock sensor voltage

the ks voltage at the pcm only reads 4.6 max when the key is on. what could i do to cure the voltage problem. The car is running the LT4 knock sensor and Knock module. I need info asap, thank you in advance. Pulled a code 43 from the situation.

4.6v is about average (it's only supposed to be 5v). I don't think you have a voltage problem. There is no specific LT4 knock sensor, but if you are running one from an LT4, it would be an OBD-II sensor and not the right one for your 1995 OBD-I computer. That would definitely give you a 43 trouble code.

i have heard that an lt1 knock sensor and an lt4 knock module would work is this true?
The knock sensor im currently running is from a 96 corvette grandsport with the lt4 motor

Yes. The LT4 KM works with OBD-I or II.

As I already said, that is why you have the trouble code. That knock sensor is an OBD-II sensor with a different impedance than OBD-I. Put your original knock sensor or new one meant for a 1995 in and your trouble code will go away.

yes sir it certainly did... thank you. I replaced the knock sensor in my auto class at school today and it runs like a champ now. no trouble codes or knock what so ever.
