no way did it ever see 12V. i used the blue wire D22 blue pin connector and ran it to the resistors and grounded it to the chassis. i talked to ed and he thinks no way is it the computer, something must have fluke went out. if it was the opti it would throw a code would it not? what about the ignition control module? im gonna check for spark and fuel first. how do you prime the fuel system with the car off? when you crank the car over would the fuel pump activate? or does it only come on in a run condition? when i turn key on position the pump does prime for 3 seconds. makes no sense with no codes grrr

Opti low res failure DTC 16 kills injectors and fuel pump, NO SES indicator. ICM DTC's are for incorrect voltage or signal from PCM to to the ICM DTC 41 or 42 they kill injectors only again NO SES indicator for. There is no HV output DTC checking in OBD1 similiar to misfire detection on OBD2. Here is a link to fuel prime connector ref shbox.com http://shbox.com/1/fuel_pump_prime.jpg Jump it to +12 volts (I use a 15 amp fused jumper to be safe). Pump should run 2 seconds to prime rails whenever ignition is switched from off to on, then after cranking/startup PCM detects opti low res pulses (engine running) and it will again pick and hold FP relay on. Here is a schematic of FP activation .. you can see the prime wire in the schematic. http://shbox.com/1/1995_pcm3.jpg

Re: knock sensor DTC AI 383 LT1

found out the no start issue. coil blew after 60 miles....... good ole MSD garbage. put a new one on and it runs now. have the resistor hooked up and it seems to fun fine but now i got a small surge/miss and you can detect it on the wideband it goes lean every time. when you are under load and accelerating decently its not noticeable at all or on the AFR. but when you are say cruising on the hwy in 4th and lockup its hunting and getting little lean spikes and making intermittent missing and light popping sounds in the exhaust right bank . sounds like a somewhat dead hole to me? its like this car does not want to run for me, maybe it knows im gonna beat the heck out of it

Check the plug wires... one may have burned on the headers. The misfire dumps oxygen into the exhaust, hence the lean spike.
