Re: increase timing

Providing you're running 94 octane, you could push the timing envelope a bit and gain a few HP. As long as you don't go too wild, and still have a functioning knock sensor / knock retard, the computer will dial things back if detonation occurs.

Re: increase timing

If you use a scanner/datalogger and monitor knock retard, you'll be able to tell when you've gone too far.

Re: increase timing

Yes, you can gain alittle bit because of the stock timing is alittle on the tame side so u can run lower octane. If you do advance the timing, make sure you run better gas, otherwise you'll just get lots of knock retard and make your car run worse.

Re: increase timing

You'll get some power by leaning it out some at WOT. The factory tune is pretty fat. You would have to ask someone who has more experience tuning stock cars and find out how much you can lean it out.

Re: increase timing

i have a tune in the computer now, it adjusted the wot and part throttle fuel settings, and i only use 93 oct in my car. i plan on getting the cc306 cam soi will just wait till them to mess with the timig thing, and also will the stock injectors work with that cam????
