Angry I hate computers

I have a 69 chevelle that im putting in the 97 lt1 motor and trans. I have been told that i can run the 95 computer with the same harness to get ride of the rear O2's ! Is this true?????

also i was wondering on the body harness what can i remove to stream line it ?????

Just for some info im using the full harness from the 97 camaro from head light to tail light.

Please help

You can run a 95 PCM to get rid of the rear O2's, but you will need to change the knock sensor on the block to an OBD1 type.

Or you can send your PCM to be tuned and have the rear O2's deleted.

ya i can get the obd1 computer for 140 canadian and the sensor i dont see being to much but do you know what i can remove out of the harness and what is the + to running the obd1 over the 2

The OBDI cars have a cheaper tuning option than the OBDII cars do. Cheaper scanning as well.

IF you switch to OBDI, you'll have to change the knock sensor or have the PCM modified to work with the OBDII knock sensor. If you switch, you'll lose misfire detection, but if you put a cam in the motor OBDII can sometimes pick up on cam lope as misfires.
