After frying my PCM i ordered a remanufactured PCM from O'Reilly's, they said it was remanufactured by GM and has a lifetime warranty.

I went with it just because they could have it tomarro morning.

Does anyone have any opinions on remanufactured PCMs? I know the remanufactured Optisparks are usually considered junk. SO just curious if anyone has had any good/bad experiences with them.

I bought one from them a few weeks ago. It was about $130 with my core out the door. What I was not aware of until I picked it up was that it was an extra $70 to flash it to my make/model. Lucky for me that I have Tunercat and was able to flash it myself.

The case appears to be sandblasted or chemical cleaned. Be sure to remove your knock module and your knock module cover before you turn in your core. Niether comes with the new pcm.

IMO; it's just a computer. No moving parts=no problems. Mine has been working great.

 

I have a PCM4less tune and the C.A.T.S. flash utility to load it, is that all i need to program the new PCM or will i need someone to do the make/model?
