Funny VE table problem 94 LT1 in SD mode

Hello,
I have been playing with a 2bar map sensor and tuner cat(94 LT1 in SD mode). I doubled the engine displacement so I could cut the ve cell values in half. It starts up and idles fine but it dies when I hit the gas. It only does this when I set the ve cell values low (where they need to be because of the doubled displacement). If I set the cells to 60+ it will rev up (very rich of course). When I look at the data logged I show that the injectors are being "shut down" until I lift off the throttle. Does anyone have any ideas what function(s) could be causing fuel cut off?

Thanks,
Sean

Re: Funny VE table problem 94 LT1 in SD mode

I have found that the engine will run without any MAP or MAF sensor. I believe it is running in Alpha-n mode (TPS vs. RPM). The funny thing is that the TPS vs. RPM table in tunercat ends at 600 rpm. If I change values in this table it affects injector pulse width through out the entire rpm range. It's almost like it's trying to use an alpha-n calculation to see if the VE vs. MAP value is in the ball park. Since I'm running a 2bar map sensor of course it's no where close where it needs to be. Does anyone know of any work around(s)?
