Fuel pump prime duration

My aeromotive pump does not have a check valve that will hold the fuel pressure up when the pump is not running. To get the car to start smoothly I have to time key on(waite for pump to build pressure) then hit the starter. Is there a constant that I can change to allow the pump to prime for slightly longer? It would make starting the car much easier because right now I only have a window of about 1.5 seconds between the time the pump builds pressure to when it stops priming. It takes this long for now because my sump is lower then my pump(changing to a fuel cell in the trunk this winter).

Thanks

Nothing you can change in the programming, its hard wired into the pcm.

You can either put a button in to jump the fuel pump relay from inside the car.

Or you can purchase a check vavle and place it in the line.
