Re: engine manage

well it was more of an ask if anyone has used either one of those but if 4 people got on here and said use this instead its better then i would have considered that one, but i got one responce the said "I run the MoTeC" not this is great or i did my research and this is the best, it was just "I run the MoTeC"

so yes if there is a better suggestion then lets here it

Re: engine manage

Actually, I'd like to know about this. <Bump>

Anyone dealt with two different types and have a preference (and why)?

I've heard that the FAST XFI (which I'm leaning towards now) has a minor problem with how they handle the LT1's Optispark when the engine starts to get over 5800 RPM. Basicly the method that the FAST uses to calculate timing using the optispark doesn't work above 6300 rpm accurately. Missfires can happen at 5800, or so, if the ignition grounds aren't the best or there are marginal connections in the system. You have to setup a crank trigger to get the FAST ignition control to work properly.

Thanks.

Re: engine manage

The MoTeC has been shown to be able to handle the Opti signal and provide the desired timing at more than 8,000rpm. Will probably go higher than that, but we haven't found the need (yet).
