Electrical Problems

I've had the problem with the radio and windows stop working and read to check the BCM which I plan on doing. Recently my 2000 z28 has been doing all kinds of weird things. Sometimes it doesn't want to stay running and the battery amps get low when idling but go up when throttling. It spits and sputters with no power. One night the tach, fuel gauge, and oil pressure gauges would stop and start working as well as my anti-slip. Battery is only a couple months old and the alternator checks fine. Can all of this be the BCM or is it more widespread?

Re: Electrical Problems

I would guess some electrical connection is loose. I use to just set the battery terminals on and not tighten them. Once it worked loose and caused symptoms like your stating.

Re: Electrical Problems

The BCM won't cause low voltage. Plus, low voltage will cause gauges and other warning lights to go crazy. Sounds like a voltage problem.
