Re: dyno tune or have garage scan car?

If your talking about BigShot it's in Hudson - yeah i'm friends with the owner as well. If you can get it up there just have Keith call me and i'll run up with the laptop - you'll need a cable tho - so ask Dustin if he can loan his cable to me the next time he's up here and i'll use it. Mine is hardwired into my car so I can't use it.

ok, first. STOP CHANGING THINGS. 400mv isn't all that bad for an o2 reading. as long as it's not staying at 400mv. second. when your were reading 128 for BLM was the car warmed up. The car ignores the o2 sensors until it's in closed loop. Third. What speed and engine load was the engine at when you observed 128. A good fuel mixture at idle doesn't mean a good fuel mixture anywhere else.

Re: dyno tune or have garage scan car?

me again

Also two things I would recommend trying as they were most likely overlooked. Go get your alternator and battery tested. failing alternator and coilpacks don't mix and cause crazy things like that.

That starting fine, and then not starting is a big issue with cameros. I know you said you weren't getting any codes but if your battery is weak it my throw code 16 when you try to start. that will cause a no start.

Autozone can test your alternator but I've never seen one with a VAT tester. nor an employee who knew what one was. try NAPA

those reading were at idle only. battery is brand new and volts check out good on it. the dash shows the right volts for the alternator to be working also. so you don't think autozone has a way to test the alternator off the car then?

i pushed the car out of the garage and washed it off and dried it and then went to start it and i keep playing with it and got it to start, but ran like crap... rough idle, backfiring. but yet acouple hrs before that it did nothing like that?? doesn't sound like a alternator to me?

No. that doesn't mean anything. go to autozone, they have a machine that will test it. Lots of weird things can happen with an alternator before they actually go.

Re: dyno tune or have garage scan car?

coil packs need alot of power to function right so if the alternator is messing up that would cause a problem. he had tried to fix the richness problem befire and it made no difference. he doesn;t have enough experience with a blower setup.
