The computer will not even start to calculate new BLMs until it is in closed loop. Any time the computer is reset, fuel management numbers will default to 128.

Sorry I'm not much help. I'd post in the forced indution blower section to ask about the FMU? Have you pulled your valve covers to see if anything is broken. You could also take a spray bottle with water and spray it on each header to see if you have any cold cylinders. Have you visually seen the spray pattern of your injectors? maybee one or a couple are stuck open constantly spraying?

pull the injectors up out of the intake. Disconnect the coil so it won't start. Have someone turn the key over and you can see all the injectors spray. They should all look like a fine mist in a conical pattern. Use rags to clean up the mess which won't be that bad.

Re: dyno tune or have garage scan car?

thing is that all 8 injectors would have to be leaking or staying open, which is pretty much impossible for all 8 to do that. since all the plugs are wet.

I see your point, and am only giving options of how to check your fuel system. Good luck.

Did you do the install? have you gone back to the basics looking for anything disconnected, vacume leak, does it backfire? Could you get a vid of it running it may give us a better idea of what the problem is. Also, do you know anybody with a laptop and a ALDL connector that could run datamaster for you? Just trying to give you more ideas.

Re: dyno tune or have garage scan car?

thanks for the ideas guys nope i don;t have any friends thats have f-bodies. they don't have sports cars anymore... they don't have laptops either. i can't win-haha. well acouple weeks ago it was backfireing i pulled all the wires off cause i figured that was the issue. haven;t messed with the car since then.. well that same day i did rstart the car and it backfired on me when i reved it up to try and clean the idle up. yeah i didn't leave anything unplugged or disconnected i checked all that twice.. thing is with no serivce engine lights on i can't figure what it could be that would make the car run like crap, other then it dumping to much fuel-since plugs and o2's were getting fouled up.. i hope saturday when i take it to the dyno this guy isn't lik. pissed cause i wasted his time cause my car isn't running great. i wish i had a way for you guys to hear it running...

If it is running that poorly, backfiring and such, why would you be taking it to a dyno? (unless this person is going to diagnose and fix your car, too) Sounds like you might have a spark delivery problem.

Re: dyno tune or have garage scan car?

i dunno, i guess i figured the richness was the whole issue. opti is brand new-delteq system is brand new, plugs and wires are brand new. nothing is mixed up wire wise or coil wise. this is the first car i have ever worked on before as in building up the motor.

PM Bersaglieri (Dustin) I think he may have a laptop with scan functions. Otherwise you need to drive to Akron and I can scan it for you. Either way - talk to Dustin, he comes up to the house often and can help.
