DTC def?
DTC def?
I can't get my car running, so I hooked it up to pcmcomm and checked for trouble codes. I got 1 code and it is "Open DTC FAN 1 OPEN FAILURE". What is this? Can this keep my car from running? I am getting fuel and spark, but I can't seem to find the problem. Also my 02 sensors were reading around 450ish mV while I was cranking it. Is this correct? Oh yeah, the car won't crank fast/long enough to even fire. It is cranking at 65 rpm for like 3 secs, is this enough? I had it hooked to two batteries and it still wouldn't turn over very well. Sorry for all the questions, but I'm getting desperate.
Thanks,
Benji

Re: DTC def?
When the O2 sensors are cold, they read 450mV.
What was the exact code you got for the fan? DTC 77? If it is, its a problem with the relay circuit for the coolant fan(s). That should not prevent your car from running.
When was the last time your car started and ran? What have you changed since then?

Re: DTC def?
Man, it's been a while since it has ran. It blew an ignition fuse and I changed the opti and got it running again (long story made short). It ran horrible and I shut it down. It hasn't started since. It won't even stumble or even try to run. I just got done looking at it and noticed that the silver wrapped wiring bundle that runs along the headers, was burnt through a little bit. The only damage I saw was that two of the 02 sensor wires were stuck together and the other wires had some white-ish powder on them. I am going to start a new thread and see if that could be my problem. But, I copied everything down that the program said. It didn't give any numbers, except the logging time which it occurred. Thanks for helping, I'm clueless.
