Re: Emulators

I know of tunercat thats not what I'm looking for. I was wondering why no one has tried an emulator, real time is better than flash. I'm not even sure it's possible but thats what I'm trying to find out.

Re: Emulators

I believe the RT Tuner or emulators only work on pre-94 cars.

Re: Emulators

His sig says 94. I could be wrong but I I'm pretty sure it's for 94-95 cars.

Blownbird355, are you saying you want a computer program that replicates the entire PCM so that numbers can be changed on the fly? I don't think that would be easy to do, since it would require a lot of external hardware to manipulate voltages. If it does exist. it would probably be really expensive.

Re: Emulators

I believe most emulators just emulate the software or program chip not the hole ecm. There are a few available for pre 94 cars with removeable chips. Craig over at Moates.net said hehad been working on one but got distracted.

Re: Emulators

By the way, you were right about RT Tuner only being for pre 94 (non-flashable) stuff...
Ok, I'm stupid.

Re: Emulators

the RT tuning will work on a 94 flashable pcm, but no one make the romulator yet.

Re: Emulators

It flat out says it won't work with $EE because it wasn't set up for flashable PCM's

Re: Emulators

tunercat sent me a email here while back that says rt tuning is possible with a flash prom but no one make the emulator for it.

and the 93 pcms are a 32 kb file and a flash prom is 128. and also the 93 pcm does not control the tranny and no maf. so its kinda pointless.
