DTC 51 after new cal

DTC 51 after new cal
Does anybody know what causes this or what it indicates? I searched but found nothing conclusive. I got DTC 51 'Bad Checksum' after my last reprogram. Cleared code, and it did not return. Car runs fine. I have heard you can only do so many reflashes before a PCM goes downhill, and I'm at about my 50th cal, so I wondered if maybe this is an indicator that the PCM is going bad.
