Does anyone know the voltage range the MAF puts out?

I need to know the voltage range the MAF puts out. I thought I read somewhere that the MAF gets its power by a 5v source much like the MAP sensor. Don't know if there's any truth to that but I hope to find out. If it does get a 5v source than I'm sure the voltage output would be something like 1-5v

Thanks for any help

Since you have "LT1" in your screen name, I'll assume you are asking about an LT1 MAF. The "signal" output is not a variable voltage, its a variable frequency riding on a reference voltage. The frequency ranges from 0Hz (0 gps) to 11,216 Hz (471.51 gps). If you probe the yellow wire with a volt meter, it will show +5V with the key on/engine not running, and drop to about 4.3V when you start the engine. The output voltage will fluctuate as the frequency changes, but the PCM isn't looking at the voltage, its looking at the frequency.

The MAF is powered by a +12V source.

thanks for clearing that up. Do you know if the LT1 MAF is a karmen type sensor? Also, the output will never go above 5v right? One of the devices I'm using needs operating range between 1-5v. If it gets higher than 5, I might be in trouble
