Computer problem, kind of technical.

OK, so here it is. Whenever itry to play any game that takes me away from the desktop into a full screen mode the computer locks up. not immedately. usually about 5 mins after ive been in the game. with some games it lockes the whole computer and I have to reboot, with some games I geat a memory read error. or unable to read sector 2356736487 error. My limited cpu experience is telling me its a bad hard drive, or possibly ram? what do I do to pin-point the problem. and if it is a HD, can I isolate and quarentine that sector or do i need to get a new one?

doesnt sound like the hard drive. Possibly not enough cooling. are you overc, ocking at all. Could also be the power supply. What type of video card are you running?

It sounds like video card problems to me. If the video card is overheating, then it could cause the problems you mentioned. Are the games you are playing using 3D graphics?
