code29 Can anyone help with diagnostics on this .

I have a 1995 z28 LT1. It is storing a code 29 eas electrical circuit fault (QDM). I do not know what eas is. I was thinking that qdm might be quad drive module. The chevy dealer down here says they dont even show that code in there book. When the code sets both cooling fans come on also. Can anyone help explain what this code means. I am a ase certified mechanic but never heard of this code.

What is telling you the code is 29? Also, where are you getting your descriptions? According to my info(Haynes manual)code 29 is.....

"Secondary Air Injection problem - Check the secondary air injection (AIR) system for an open circuit in the wiring.".

Check the fuse for the AIR pump.... it's blown. If the fuse continues to blow, there is a "recall" on the AIR pump system (95-97 only) and they should fix your system for free.

While you're at it, find a Chevy dealer that knows his butt from his elbow. There is no excuse for such incompetence.
