I called the GM dealership I got my firebird at, and the bastards say they want to charge me 45-90 bucks to do a diagnostics.

What does their 'diagnostics check' entail? I mean what do they do during that time?

 

1)plug in a little stupid looking computer ..
2)spend 20 seconds to read ur codes

 

..you can't be serious...!

 

Nope thats why we went out & got a Autoscanner (i think thats what its called) cost us about $300 USD & has saved us money since.
