Question Code Reading

Hello guys.

What are my options for a scan tool for use with my 94Z? I know that both the GM Tech 1 and Tech 2 will work. I work in a dealership, but it isn't GM. Our scanners are brand specific, so I don't have access to a Snap-on Modis or other high end scanner..... and that really isn't what I am looking for. I am more in the market for a tool just for my specific application.

Actron and Autoxray make popular scanners that will work on your OBD-I car. You could always go the cable and PC (laptop) route.

I'd get one that works on OBDI and OBDII plus CAN. If you don't have an OBDII car, you will in the future, unless you want to stay pre '96.
