can't read pcm

I just purchased a cable form aldlcables.com and a program from bryan herter, and I am unable to get it to read the pcm. I also tried a program called free scan and it worked perfect so I know the cable is working. Also i was trying to use the tunercat windows version of the programmer. Any ideas or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

This really belongs in the computer/diagnostics forum, but sounds like you might need to look at setup options in your programs that don't work.

Re: can't read pcm

A couple of helpful hints on posting:

-include the basic data on your car... particlualry the year. Not all LT1 years (I'm assuming you have an LT1 since you posted this on "LT1/LT4 Engine Tech") are the same, nor are the PCM interfaces all the same.

-post on the correct forum.... I'll move this to "Computer Diagnostics and Programming" for you.

Ok its a 94, very light mods for now, just a 52mm throttle body, underdrive pulleys and 4.10 gears, also it has the 12 pin obdI connection.
