"Cable" not found, or "Connection" not found? What year is your car?

Is this a USB or serial cable?

Most usb cables need time to initialize.
Plug cable into the computer, wait 20 seconds, THEN open tunercats/datamasters, and connect through the correct comm port.

Some quick checks.. 1 -Assume you loaded the driver that should have come w/cable.. 2 -Go to windows Ctl Panel-System-Hardware-Device Manager-Ports and see what com port the system assigned. Then go to Tuner-Options-Com Port Setup and select the correct Com Port radial button. Per above post ign key must be on 20 seconds or so for ALDL to come active. Another test is download FreeScan for you '94 , in Frescan, 1 -select control tab-select the correct com port, 2- in Freescan Operational Mode box select the Force Data Interact Radial Button. 3- then click Start Logging in the Com w/ECU box. If both programs fail you may have a hardware (cable, driver or ALDL connection) problem. Good Luck.. Keep us advised.. Bob D.
