BLM reset? After changing Tune?

I just finished retuning via HP tuners a C5. In the procedure you reset the fuel trims so the new tune will take.
Well, then I thought about my C4. Is there a way to reset the BLMs etc after changing your tune? Or does it reset automatically when you take the chip out to re-flash it, like on my 93.? I am chasing a split BLM issue, and am trying to find out if everytime I make a change if it needs resetting or just swap the chip/tune and move on.

Pull the "PCM BAT" fuse for 30 seconds and the data stored in the volatile memory, including the long term fuel corrections, will be lost (= reset).

Any time I have loaded a tune, the PCM resets.
