Autotap or tunercat

I read a thread a couple of weeks ago about tunercat possably coming out with a LT1 OBD 2 software. Does anyone know if this is going to happen anytime soon? I was thinking about buying autotap. What do you guys think about autotap, has it helped you out, if so in what ways? Thanks in advance.

Re: Autotap or tunercat

For an OBDII car, Autotap is about the only option for a PC based logging/diagnostic tool that I know of.

I love it and have used it on several cars.

For tuning software, your options are Tunercat or LT1Edit. I bought LT1Edit because Tunercat was not available. I'm happy with it as well.

LT1_Edit:

Tunercat:

AutoTap:

Cables:

RobbyRod:

Note that your 95 is OBD-I. The is already an OBD-I version of TunerCat for your car. AutoTap will not work, since its for OBD-II. For OBD-I, use either:

TTS DataMaster:
http://www.ttspowersystems.com/

FreeScan:
http://www.andywhittaker.com/ecu/ecu_software.htm

If you get the deluxe version of LT1_Edit for OBD-I, it includes a copy of "pcmcomm" scanning software. Their is no scanning software bundled with the OBD-II versions of LT1_Edit.

To get an idea of some of the data you can retrieve with a scanner, check my online scan data guide:
