Autotap lt-1/LS-1?

I know a guy who has autotap for sale, but his car is an LS-1, will it work on lt-1 cars? Are there specific programs or is it just an OBD-II scanner for all cars?

It will scan both. It is an ODBDII program. I have scanned my 1996 LT1 and a 2004 Z06 with it. When you plug it to the car for the first time it will get the VIN number from the PCM and search for all the supported parameters. Great tuning tool.

Agreed, as long as your LT1 is an OBDII model (96-97) you'll be able to use it. If it's prior to that, no dice unless you convert to OBDII.

FWIW, I've used my GM specific autotap to scan a 2000 Neon, a 1997 S-10 and a 1999 Silverado truck. The cable will usually work for generic functions on most makes of cars, so that can come in handy too.
