Anyway to defeat the P0335/P0336 Trouble codes?

I have swapped to the true roller timing chain and electric water pump. I need to get the car inspected here in Upstate NY but the PCM instantly checks the crankshaft position sensor and throws the SES light because I don't use that sensor. Is there anyway to defeat the detection of the code?
Thanks,
Dave

what i want to know is, does the pcm change if it isnt getting the signal it wants from the crank sensor?

ive either got something wrong with the wiring harness, the connector, or the sensor itself isnt working so im getting the P0336 code.

i want to go to the strip tonight, but im not sure if it will cause any issues.......

as far as your situation, im sure Ion at madz28.com can just delete the test for the CS. i had him do the same thing for my EGR test because i kept getting the code but everything checked out ok. and it passes CA smog for me, no problems.

Ya that is pretty easy. You just disable the code with tunercat for OBD2 or call Bryan and have him send you a new tune with it disabled.

Thanks. I contacted Bryan right after I sent this post and he can help me. Too bad I didn't anticipate this. I *just*got it back from him for the OBDII Turbo tune. Oh well. At least it'll be done now!
