AIR/EGR delete question
Re: AIR/EGR delete question
You will not notice any difference.
AIR operates for about 2 minutes at startup to help heat the cat(s) up faster, then shuts off. It has no affect at all on idle, engine smoothness or engine power.
EGR only operates under conditions known to produce high combustion chamber temperatures. Doesn't operate at idle, doesn't operate above 3,500rpm, doesn't operate at WOT. Assuming the EGR valve is closing properly, it will not affect idle, engine smoothness or engine HP. It actually help reduce detonation under conditions like lugging the engine at low rpm in the wrong gear.
