Actron scanner users - is knock retard displayed with tenths of a degree?
Actron scanner users - is knock retard displayed with tenths of a degree?
My question is about the format Actron uses to display degrees of knock retard. In the 'Knock Retard' field I am seeing 5-7 at idle, and have seen up to 70 while driving. Brand new build, less than 5 miles of break-in so far.
Obviously 70 degrees of spark retard is not real, so I'm assuming it means 7.0 degrees but does not show the decimal point. If this is consistant, the idle retard display of 5 to 7 would mean 0.5 to 0.7 degrees.
Can anybody tell me if this is right?
I have read the Actron FAQ, instructions, etc and INjuneers guide, but can't find this detail explained. Thanks.

Follow up answer in case somebody else needs to know:
I compared with freescan, and the Actron shows actual knock retard x 10, even for single digit readings. In other words, when it shows 7, that's 0.7, and if it shows 12, that's 1.2 degrees retard. FYI.
