Actron CP9145 PID questions

Couple of questions regarding viewing my PID's on my car. With my '96 OBDII car, the only available PID's that I can view are the "global OBDII Definitions" which really are not very useful. Out of a whim, I decided to pretend my car was a '95 on the scanner and I am actually able to view many more PID's, such as knock, AC pressure, and many other things. My question is if the scanner thinks my car is an OBDI car, how accurate are the given PID readings? Since '95 had the same connector as the OBDII, I would guess it would work just as well?
