98Z alarm reset?
My Gas cap needs replacement.Had to order one.After a few days Alarm was going off.Can't reset,apparently FOBkey/chipkey needs battery? Also would the Gas cap gasket defect and Servuice Engine soon light ON,cause a No Start? How do I reset the alarm,Thanks! Newbie

Welcome to the board. 
Loose or defective gas cap will throw the SES for P0440 or P0442 - but not cause a no start situation, fine to drive it with the old cap until new one comes in. For the alarm is it just going off for no apparent reason (bad shock sensor) or you just can't turn it off with the key fob? Does the fob arm the alarm? Replacing the battery is easy.
