tp sensor HELP

so i have 94 z28 and throttle position sensor is messin up. i ran and autoxray diagnostic on it and it says it has .01 volts when i checked the individual wires i stripped a lil bit off of the grey and blue wires and with the key turned over but engine off it read for the blue wire .06 and for the grey wire 5 volts if i didnt mess up will someone help me out and tell me what is goin on? thanks and i am new to the site but have been lookin at threads on here for help for a while and they have all helped out so far

With the key ON, you can watch the voltage on the scanner readout as you press the pedal down. Engine does not have to be running. It's an easy way to check the voltage and how smoothly it is working.

When measuring from the gray wire to the black ground wire, you should get 5.0V (PCM reference voltage). Measuring from the blue (signal) wire to the black ground wire should show at least 0.20V at closed throttle. Anything less than that sets a code.
