93 PCM help
Alvin at PCM for less is great, product and customer service are second to none!! The reg price is 150 with free changes every 6 months (don't quote me on that!) I think they are having a group buy right now for a 100 a chip!
hows it come?
OK, i understand a lot of this now, but if i were to buy my chip from PCM forless, and have them build me a custom chip to fix my 3 trouble codes, how would it come? Does it come attached with an adapter or whatever so that it just plugs in? Do i need to take out my chip now and send it to them? If i ever needed to update it or whatever, i would have to take it out of my car and send them the chip for them to update it? If someone can clue me in on what PCM forless does with a situation like mine, and yes it costs $150 for my year Z28's chip to be made. I dont know about a group offer. But if someone can clue me in it would be great!
thank you!

I also have a 93. Just did Hooker LT's, and removed both the EGR and air pump.
Didn't get an EGR code, but did get the QDM code.
The QDM (quad driver module) is a check of a four components, the air pump, charcoal, and two other things.. I think.
I plugged my air back in, ran the car, then unplugged it, and never got the code again... FYI.

Easy Solution
26 is the quad driver module which will be set off when you unplug you egr solenoid (same error for EGR EVAP & air pump).
Solution: plug your EGR solenoid (not the EGR itself) back in and codes 26 & 32 should be solved.
If you still want the EGR solenoid removed you can get rid of the EGR code using resistors. I'll have to look back at the values i used but i removed my egr setup before the diagnostics disable was availble from tunercat. The idea is that the trick the ECM into seeing a ground on the control line. ECM controls seloniods by opening and closing a ground.
42 is Ignition Control Error and seems unrelated. Last time i had this my coil died.
