I plugged the o2's back in and still my BLM's are reading 128 at idle or rev'd up. no change. A friend of mine says that the BLM's will default to 128 in OPEN loop. My car isnt going into closed loop. what controls whether or not the car goes into closed loop? Coolant Temp and O2's? I drove the car today..Fred, you were right. The A/F reading was around 11.5-12.0 while driving down the road. So i guess that means it is reading lean because of such big valve overlap at idle. The car moves down the road pretty smoothly but it still wont stay running by itself. But ill take a datalog and let that one for the tuner to figure out.

To go into closed loop:

1) O2 sensors must be hot enough (~600*F) to work.
2) Coolant temp most exceed threshhold (~140*F)
3) Timer from intial start must time out (~205 seconds)

When the engine starts, its in open loop, and the PCM will used 3 different cells - 16 for idle, 18 for load and 17 for decel. It will use the stored BLM's for each of those cells. If the PCM has been cleared, its going to reset all the BLM's to 128, so until it goes into closed loop for the first time since it was reset, the BLM's will be 128. In open loop, the short term correctios (aka INT's) will always be locked at 128. When they start to move, its in closed loop.
