Will a 94 z28 PCM work in a 97 z28?

I put a 94 lt1 motor, tranny and pcm in a 97 z28 and everything hooked up except on the 94's there is only one plug up by the strut tower and on the 95's and up there was two. The motor will crank but doesn't get spark or fuel so does this mean the pcm isn't getting power? Is it because of that plug? If anyone has done this before or knows exactly what I need to do you can call me at 812-267-2215. Also, if anyone is around the Louisville, KY area I will pay someone to come help me because I'm pretty fed up with this ordeal. Thanks a lot.

might be a security feature you might need to bypass, seems like i read something about this on here somewhere..

i know on my 94 the security system is called vats (vehicle anti theft system)
i dont remember if its the same on the 97's or not..

Ok I think I figured it out. I was looking at all the plug ins on shoebox and it shows how they are all different so basically I need a 97 wiring harness and pcm. I assume I will just leave the knock sensor disonnected since my motor don't have it and buy the temp sending units for a 97. Can someone verify that I'm on the right track? Also, I know the opti is vented on the newer ones but do they have the same connector? Somebody please let me know what will need to be changed since I will be doing this next weekend. Thanks a lot.

Why does the motor not have a knock sensor, and what makes you think you have to swap the (coolant and inlet air???) temp sensors?

The 93-94 unvented Opti has a shorter connector that requires a 93-94 specific harness plug. If you had a 94 wiring harness, all you have to do is unplug the short Otpi harness that runs from the bracket on the passenger side of the intake manifold to the Opti, and swap the short harness from the 94 in place of the one on the 97 harness.

I meant the crank sensor and from 94 to 97 the temp sensors had different connectors.
